(Sao Paulo, Brazil, August 8, 2007) - During the past several years, Dassault Falcon's presence in Brazil and South America has continued to strengthen with exceptional sales and an increased customer support presence. Over the past several years, five Falcons have entered service in Brazil and almost two dozen more Falcons, which were recently sold, will enter service in the coming years. With nearly 20 Falcons operating in Brazil, Dassault remains the leading supplier of large cabin business jets in that country.
At the end of 2006, Dassault had a total global backlog of more than 300 aircraft. Over 80 aircraft will be delivered in 2007 compared to 61 in 2006. Delivery rates will continue to increase in 2008.
A development team has been formed to explore the feasibility of building a Dassault owned Service Center in Brazil. The planned facility would include full technical support capabilities, maintenance, parts, training and engineering support. Although a timeline for a final decision has not been set, several sights are being considered.
