Hawker Beechcraft Acquisition Company LLC Reports Strong First Quarter 2007 Results

WICHITA, Kan., (June 8, 2007) – Hawker Beechcraft Acquisition Company, LLC reported first quarter 2007 operating income of $28.4 million as compared to $10.1 million in the first quarter of 2006. The first quarter 2007 operating income increase reflected higher volume of new aircraft deliveries and a favorable product mix.

“Our performance in the first quarter was strong and positions us well as we transition to new ownership as Hawker Beechcraft,” said Jim Schuster, Chairman and CEO.

Net sales for the first quarter 2007 were $667.8 million, up 32.3% from $504.6 million in the first quarter of 2006. Cash flow from operations for the first quarter 2007 was an outflow of $102.1 million versus an inflow of $22.6 million for the first quarter 2006. The decrease in operating cash flow was primarily due to the receipt of a $167.6 million advance payment in the first quarter 2006 on the JPATS program, without a similar receipt in the first quarter 2007. Significant advance payments are not expected in the future on the JPATS program.

Cash used in investing activities was $27.3 million in the first quarter 2007 as compared to $8.7 million in the first quarter 2006. Expenditures relate to capital expenditures consisting of company-manufactured tooling, expansion of manufacturing facilities and modernizing equipment and software additions.

Total net bookings for the first quarter 2007 were $499.5 million compared to $513.8 million in the first quarter 2006. The Company ended the first quarter 2007 with backlog of $3.9 billion compared to $2.9 billion at the end of the first quarter 2006.
